The May/June 2018 issue of Kitchenware International is out now!

In this issue of Kitchenware International, the categories of Cookware and Coffee/Tea take centrestage.

In our Cookware feature, we look at how healthy living and global foods are driving sales in the category, as well as spotlight the latest cookware launches.

In our Coffee/Tea Category, we discover how professional, craft and specialist coffee and teamaking is driving growth in the category and we talk to retailers to find out what’s selling; as well as to suppliers to discover what’s new and trending.

Coffee is the focus of our cover story interview with German company WMF. A pioneer in the coffeeware sector, we discover the latest innovations in the category, and discover how, with its further international expansion and game-changing product launches, 2019 is a big year for the company.

Another German kitchenware company, Gefu, is also seeing its coffee category in growth; and we talk to the 76-year-old brand about this, about its global growth and strategy for the future; as well as celebrate the 10th anniversary of its bestselling Spirelli product.

There are lots of anniversaries to celebrate this issue; in fact, three centenaries, which we pay tribute to this issue, with KitchenAid, Brabantia and Cole & Mason all celebrating 100 years with exciting new product.

With the issue of single-use plastic so prevalent, we highlight the topic of sustainability in this issue and talk a number of kitchenware companies to find out they are tapping into sustainability both in company practice and product development.

In retail, we travel to India this issue and discover how increased purchasing power and more entertaining at home has given rise to demand for premium kitchen and dining products. We interview one retailer and distributor, ThinKitchen, from Seeba Lifestyles, which is making the most of the opportunities by bringing global premium kitchenware and tableware brands to the country.

We also get advice from concept retail store top3 in Australia on creating a concept store today; and talk to five global retailers about how they are using edu-tainment in their physical stores to stand out from the retail crowd.

On the trend front, we look at how texture is increasingly playing a role in the development of kitchenware products, from gadgets to appliances; and spotlight kitchen products that are harnessing the magic of magnetic.

And we look ahead to the summer shows, including a six-page preview of Exclusively Housewares, taking place June 11-12, in London; and a sneak peek at what exhibitors will be unveiling at Summer’s Las Vegas Market.
